Share One Board, Complete Every Turn
Two-player mode puts the same board in front of both players, with no AI moving for either side. White starts. Each player completes the full turn—placing or moving, then capturing if that action forms a mill—before the device changes hands. Agree on undo and accidental-touch rules before the first move.

Pass the Device After the Turn Ends
Keep the device visible and within reach of both players, but let only the current player touch the board. A turn without a new mill ends after one placement or move. If that action forms a mill, the turn continues until the same player captures one legal opposing stone. Pass the device only after the turn indicator changes.

Run a Three-Point Check
Before touching the board, name the candidate move and check three outcomes: whether the opponent can form a mill next turn, whether the move creates or blocks a mill, and whether your stones retain a useful route. During teaching, discuss the position without making the other player's move. If two candidates are disputed, return to the original position and test both.

Agree on Undo and Touch Rules
A teaching game may allow discussion and undo. For a competitive game, decide before White's first move whether undo is allowed, how accidental touches are handled, and who will play White in the next game. Apply the same agreement throughout the game, then use the move record for review after the result.
